and thy faithfulness reacheth unto the clouds. Psalm 36:5

Home What We Believe Our Sermons Our Blog When/Where We Meet How to Contact Us

Our Distinctives In Doctrine:
  • We are committed to the Scripture alone. We believe that all 66 books of the Bible 'by his singular care and providence' have been 'kept pure in all ages' and are wholly inspired, infallible and authoritative . "the grass withers, the flower fades, but the word of our God stands forever" (Isaiah 40:8, 2 Tim 3:16, 17)

  • We are committed to the gospel of grace alone, through faith alone, in Christ alone. "For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:" (Eph. 2:8)

  • We are committed to the faithful preaching, reverent hearing and practical application of God's Word. Our desire is to witness to those around us, that they need to be saved from their sins and that the Lord Jesus Christ is the only one who can save, through his person and atoning sacrifice. "Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved." (Acts 4:12)
  • We believe that creation was completed in six days of normal duration. "For in six days the LORD made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that in them is" (Exodus 20:11)

  • We affirm male leadership reflected in ordination to church office. We reject the ordination of women to office, including the office of deacon. (Gen. 2:18-25; I Cor. 11:8-9; 14:34-35; I Tim. 2:11-15)

  • We believe the moral law is summarized in the Ten Commandments. "And he declared unto you his covenant, which he commanded you to perform, even ten commandments; and he wrote them upon two tables of stone." (Deuteronomy 4:13 cf. Matthew 19:17-19)
  • We seek to be God-centered in doctrine, life and worship. Our worship can be described as simple, reverent, with the centrality of the Word of God. Since Jesus Christ is the only King and Head of the Church, our aim is to only worship God as Scripture directs us (i.e. Scripture reading, preaching of the Word, prayer, the singing of the Psalms, and seasonal celebration of the sacraments). "God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth." (John 4:24 also see Deut. 12:32, Mark 7:7)

  • We are Presbyterian in government viz. congregations should be governed by both the office of Pastor and the office of elder. "Let the elders that rule well be counted worthy of double honour, especially they who labour in the word and doctrine." (1 Tim. 5:17 cf. 1 Tim 3:15)
